Getting started with Supercal

Supercal is designed to make scheduling effortless from the very first login. This guide walks you through the essential steps to set up your account and get ready to share your first booking link.
1. Sign up

To get started, head to supercal.com/login. You can login or create an account using either your Google or Microsoft account. Once you’re in, Supercal will guide you through a short onboarding tour that highlights key features and explains where everything lives.

2. Claim your booking link

During onboarding, you’ll be prompted to choose your unique Supercal booking URL (e.g., supercal.com/yourname). This link is your personal scheduling hub and the root URL for all your booking pages. Once claimed, it becomes the base for every meeting link you create (for example: supercal.com/yourname/15 for a 15-minute call, or supercal.com/yourname/breakfast for 1hr morning meeting). Your root link automatically appears on your dashboard, and from there you can create as many specific booking pages as you need.

3. Connect your calendar

Supercal automatically detects calendars associated with your Google or Microsoft account. You’ll see these listed in the onboarding flow, with the option to connect additional calendars at any time. This ensures your availability is always accurate and up to date.

4. Add your LinkedIn profile (optional)

As part of your setup, you’ll also have the option to link your LinkedIn profile. This adds a professional touch to your booking pages, making it easier for guests to recognize and connect with you. Don’t worry, you can skip this step for now and add it later from Settings → LinkedIn profile.

5. Set your availability

Your availability determines when others can book time with you. Supercal gives you two flexible ways to manage it:

  • Per-link availability: Each booking link has its own availability grid where you can fine-tune when that specific type of meeting can be scheduled.

  • Default availability in Settings: Define a global schedule (e.g., weekdays 8am–6pm). This acts as the baseline for all booking links unless overridden.

When editing availability, time slots are displayed in 30-minute blocks with a color-coded system:

  • Green = Available

  • Red = Unavailable

  • Yellow = “If needed” times (shown only if there aren't available time options)

This flexibility means you can keep core hours consistent while making exceptions for specific meeting types.

6. Add meeting locations

Each booking link lets you set a location for your meetings - whether that’s a physical address or a video conferencing platform. You can also set a default location in Settings → Meeting defaults so every new link automatically includes your preferred option (e.g., Google Meet, Zoom, or a custom link). This saves you time and ensures consistency across all meeting invites.

7. Explore your dashboard

Once onboarding is complete, you’ll land on your home dashboard. Here, you’ll see your personal booking link and several pre-built scheduling options (like 15-minute, 30-minute, or “Coffee” meetings). You can start sharing these links right away or edit them to suit your exact preferences.

Pro tips
  • Test your link: Open your booking page in a private browser tab to see what guests will experience.

  • Customize availability: Use the per-link availability grid to fine-tune options, or save time by adjusting global defaults in Settings.

  • Add variety: Pre-built meeting types are a great starting point, but you can create as many booking links as you need.

  • Create shortcuts: Make sharing your links quick and easy by setting up keyboard shortcuts to auto-paste your links anywhere.

By the end of this short setup, you’ll have a fully functional Supercal account—ready to book meetings without the back-and-forth.
