Managing your availability on Supercal

How to add calendars, set your meeting hours, and avoid double-booking with smart availability settings.
Connected calendars

In Settings → Availability, you’ll see all the calendars currently connected to Supercal (Google or Microsoft). From here you can:

  • Add additional calendars with the + Add calendar button.

  • View each calendar’s provider and name to confirm what’s linked.

  • Disconnect any calendars you no longer want synced.

Connected calendars serve two purposes:

  1. They automatically block times when you’re already busy, preventing double-booking.

  2. They power the “Invite from” option on each booking link, letting you choose which calendar should send the meeting invite. This ensures that your events go out from the right account (e.g., work vs. personal).

Global availability in settings

In Settings → Availability, you’ll find a weekly calendar grid made up of 30-minute blocks. This is where you define your default schedule:

  • Toggle blocks to mark them as Green (Available)Red (Unavailable), or Yellow (If needed).

  • Use the “View all” toggle to reveal overnight hours.

  • Copy one day’s setup across the week or reset everything to defaults with a single click.

These settings act as your baseline. Every new booking page you create will use this schedule unless you override it.

Per-link availability

Each booking page has its own availability grid. This allows you to fine-tune availability for specific meeting types. For example, you might keep “Coffee chats” limited to mornings while client demos are open all afternoon.

When editing a booking page:

  • The same color-coded grid (green, yellow, red) appears.

  • Changes here apply only to that specific booking link.

  • You can override or narrow down your default hours without affecting other links.

Colors to indicate availability preferences

Supercal’s availability system isn’t just on or off—it’s nuanced:

  • Green = Open → Guests can freely book.

  • Red = Blocked → These times are never offered.

  • Yellow = Flexible → Times you’d accept if needed, but not your top choice.

This gives you more control over when meetings land, while still keeping space for important or urgent requests.

Pro Tips for Availability
  • Protect your focus time: Use red blocks to carve out non-negotiable work hours.

  • Encourage balance: Limit evening or weekend bookings unless truly necessary.

  • Leverage yellow: Mark times you’d accept as “yellow” so Supercal knows they’re secondary, not ideal.

By managing availability at both the global and per-link level, you stay in control of your schedule—without losing flexibility for the meetings that matter.
